IN TAJIKISTAN MORE THAN 1700 REFUGEES ARE REGISTERED

           Dushanbe, December, 26th. (Marziya Saidova, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — In Dushanbe the day before, on December, 25th, the seminar on realization of national and international standards on human rights and refugees protection in Tajikistan has taken place. Action has been organized at the initiative of the lower chamber of parliament of RT, Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees and NGO "Society and Law". The seminar has been devoted the 60 anniversary of acceptance of the Declaration of the United Nations on human rights.            Vice-president of Madjlisi namoyandagon of Madjlisi Oli of RT Shudjoat Hasanova making her speech at the seminar noticed that the Republic of Tajikistan has accepted a number of important legal documents for maintenance of rights and freedoms of citizens. According to the Migration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RT, on the territory of Tajikistan at this moment more than 1700 refugees are registered basic part of which are citizens of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
