SESSION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

           Dushanbe, December, 30th. (Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — The day before, on December, 29th, under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Chairman of the Government of the country Emomali Rahmon the session of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held where more than 50 important questions were discussed. Session began with consideration of personnel questions. The Head of state Emomali Rahmon called the ranking officers appointed to posts in the republican ministries, departments, organizations and establishments for diligent and fair work for the blessing of Tajikistan and its people.          Then the Plan of measures on celebrating of 20th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and Organizing committee structure on carrying out of anniversary actions have been confirmed. The given Plan includes about 90 cultural, scientific and mass actions, and also works on building and accomplishment. Delivery in operation of new buildings of the National library of Tajikistan and National Chayhona of Tajikistan, termination of building and modernization of highways of Dushanbe-Hudjand-Chanak, Dushanbe-Rasht-Dzhirgatal-border with Kyrgyzstan, Kulyab-Kalayhumb, Kurgan-Tyube-Dusti-Nijniy Pyandj and tunnels "Sahristan" and "Sharshar", railway Vahdat-Yavan lining, construction of one hydroelectric power station of average capacity and 43 small hydroelectric power stations, and modernization of 4 units of Nurek hydroelectric power station, building of a number of cotton enterprises in various regions of the republic, restoration and start on full capacity of Dushanbe cable factory were among considered questions.
