GERMAN DEVELOPMENT BANK RENDERED ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE

            Dushanbe, January, 23rd. (Beknazar Abubakr, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — The National Social Investment Fund of Tajikistan (NSIFT) is ready to continue realization of the Poverty Reduction Project. The director of the fund Saidahmad Mirzoev declared about it at the yesterday's final press conference. As he said the contribution of the German party to the program makes about 5,5 million euro, and the Government of Tajikistan — more than 1 million euro, the contribution of communities — 300 thousand euro.           "In the end of 2008 the German Development Bank informed us that the Government of Germany allocated additional 5,5 million euro for this project realization, S. Mirzoev noted. — The Given sum is allocated to continue implementation of the second Poverty Reduction Project. The executive agency of this project is NSIFT".  The corresponding agreement is already signed between NSIFT and Development German Bank, and the project is included in the Public Investment Program for 2008-2010.
