IN CAPITAL SMUGGLING OF DRUG IN WEIGHT OF 2,5 KG OUTSIDE RT IS STOPPED

           Dushanbe, January, 5th. (Anvarbek Siddikov, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — 2 kg 530 gr heroin and 1,4 gr hashish were revealed and withdrawn by employees of the Drug Control Agency (DCA) under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan during operatively-search actions in Dushanbe. The citizen of Hamadoni district of Khatlon region whose name is not disclosed in interests of investigation is detained. During an apartment search along Negmat Karabaev Street of Dushanbe where he temporarily lived, a package containing 278 cellophane containers with powder substance of white colour, and also substance of dark color with a specific smell have been found out and withdrawn.           According to the forensic laboratory results of the Agency the withdrawn substances are narcotics heroin of 2 kg 530 gr and hashish of 1,4 gr. As the NIAT "Khovar" was informed in the DCA centre of public relations, in course of additional operatively-search actions the accomplice to the crime the 37-year-old citizen of Afghanistan Hodji Gulom valadi Djurahon has been detained. On the versions of the investigation, the containers with drugs intended for smuggling outside the borders of republic.          On the given fact criminal case is initiated. Both arrested persons are settled in temporary police detention of DCA.
