SRC INVESTIGATED SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC SITUATION IN KHATLON AND SUGHD

            Dushanbe, January, 20th. (Lyudmila Dubinina, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — Sociological research on social and economic situation in Khatlon and Sughd regions held by the office on researches of political and ethnopolitical processes of the Strategic Research Center (SRC) under the President of Tajikistan is finished. More than 400 respondents took part in the research. The head of SRC Zuhra Madamedjanova informed about it at the yesterday's press conference.            Since May of last year the research was held among population basically in mahalas (districts) councils and families by questioning about their social status. "For example, researchers are interested in answers on the questions — how much money you need to eat, put on and put shoes on. On these questions we had contradict answers. In one families it is enough over 1 thousand somoni, in others — 400 somoni in a month", — noticed the head of the group of researchers. At this moment processing and analysis on research indicators are held. The presentation of the research is planed to be in the first quarter of this year.
