TELEVISION CHANNEL «DJAHONNAMO» PLANS TO OPEN ITS OFFICE IN ALGERIA

         Dushanbe, January, 21st. (Lutfiya Eshonkulova, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — In 2009 the Committee on TV and broadcasting under the Government of RT plans to capture all territory of the republic by broadcasting of such television channels as "Safina", "Bahoriston" and "Djahonnamo". Since March, 35 radio transmitters of different capacities will be installed in dense-populated regions of the country. The chairman of the Committee on TV and Broadcasting under the Government of RT Asadullo Rakhmonov informed about it at the final press conference.        He noticed that till 2015 similar transmitters will be installed in all regions of the country. Yesterday the First TVT channel broadcasts on 99 % of territory of the republic. For 2008 in Tajikistan 28 private television and 6 radio channels were registered to receive the license for legalization of their activity.         According to Rakhmonov, in the nearest future the information television channel "Djahonnamo" is intended to expand its correspondent network abroad. Within 2009 it plans to open its office in Algeria.
