THE PRESIDENT OF TAJIKISTAN HELD TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH THE PRESIDENT OF IRAN

           Dushanbe, January, 30th. (Timur Bandishoev, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — On January, 29th, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held telephone conversation with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad . As the NIAT "Khovar" was informed in the press-service of the Head of state, the parties discussed questions of condition and prospects of development of mutual relations. In particular questions of development of relations in the sphere of water-power engineering, transport have been discussed, and the parties have expressed hope of the prompt realisation of some joint projects in these spheres. In course of conversation cooperation issues in military sphere, and also situation in the region and in the world have been touched. The president of Tajikistan expressed readiness to participate in forthcoming next session of heads of member states of the Organization for Economic Cooperation (ECO).  The president of Iran expressed readiness to help Tajikistan in provision of fuel and other necessary means during the winter period.
