EU ALLOCATES ADDITIONAL 34 MILLION EURO TO TAJIKISTAN

          Dushanbe, February, 11th. (Timur Bandishoev, Olga Saprykina, the NIAT "Khovar"). — Yesterday the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon being with his visit in Bruxelles, held a meeting with the State secretary of the Council of Europe, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana in the central office of the Council of Europe. The parties expressed satisfaction of the level of Tajikistan and EU relations in different spheres. President of RТ Emomali Rahmon noticed that Tajikistan's and EU priority cooperation directions in business of Afghanistan economy restoration is strengthening of state border of Tajikistan and Afghanistan, and also fight against drug traffic. Later in the Berliamon building in Bruxelles the President of RТ Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso. Upon termination of the meeting E. Rahmon and José Manuel Barroso held press conference in course of which the President of the European Commission declared that EU allocates additional 34 million euro to Tajikistan. Yesterday the President of RТ held a meeting with the Chairman of Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament Zhosek Volsky, and addressed to representatives of this committee. About it the NIAT "Khovar" was informed in the press-service of the President of RТ.
