Chairmanship of Tajikistan is a new step in the development of the SCO

 Dushanbe, June 22. (NIAT «Khovar»). President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received on June 21 the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Dmitry Mezentsev. 
    According to the results of the meeting at a press briefing D. Mezentsev noted that it was important to hear those accents that vision of the priorities of the organization from the head of the state, where the first Dushanbe Declaration was signed at the end of 2000, which determined the establishment of the SCO in the current format. 
     «As part of my presentation of the most important provisions of the practices and attitudes and activities of the secretariat, which I have now had the right and privilege to present Emomali Rahmon, I outlined, that there is a growing practice that cooperation on a number of new destinations that previously, when the organization was conceived were not our problem. 
      «We expect that Tajikistan, enters its chair to designate a number of new initiatives and we are convinced that the documents that are the foundation of the organization will receive a new movement, and practical content to the practice of continuity of support tasks for the next year. When Tajikistan will take over the presidency in the right organization, we are convinced that this is a new stage in the development of the SCO», — Said Dmitry Mezentsev.
