EMOMALI RAKHMON AWARDED THE ORDER OF THE OLYMPIC COUNCIL OF ASIA

            Dushanbe, 9 April. (NIAT «Khovar»). — Yesterday, The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon for outstanding achievements in the development of sport country awarded the Order of the Olympic Council of Asia. The award was handed to the Head of State, President of Olympic Council of Asia, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al Saboh. President Emomali Rakhmon on the occasion of awarding the Order noted that this award is recognition of sport and thanked the Tajik president of Olympic Council of Asia.            During the meeting, the President with the head of the Olympic Council of Asia were also discussed issues of cooperation of Tajikistan with the organization. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al Saboh informed the head of state that today the signing of two documents on cooperation between the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan and the Olympic Council of Asia, whose purpose is the construction of sports facilities in the Republic of Tajikistan and the development of sports among students in general education schools in the country. He also said that the Olympic Council of Asia is ready to make a greater contribution to a better development of sports in Tajikistan.          During the meeting, Emomali Rahmon and Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al Saboh, which is a high-ranking Kuwaiti official, also discussed issues of development cooperation in Tajikistan and Kuwait in the areas of road construction, hydroelectric facilities in the country, the export of water from Tajikistan in Kuwait. Sheikh also said that Kuwait can fund the construction of 60 facilities of education and health care in Tajikistan.
